Once you have identified who lived in your house, you may also find it interesting to learn about its architectural features, and what they suggest about how your house would have been furnished throughout its history.

http://www.geffrye-museum.org.uk is a very useful site displaying English domestic interiors from 1600 to the present day, while http://www.britainexpress.com/architecture/index.htm can help to identify your house through its architectural features.

Try using a search engine such as www.google.co.uk for information on interiors and architecture specific to your area, and take a look at our recommended architecture links in our recommended websites list below.
